Sepiolite, Palygorskite, and Triple Super Phosphate on the Uptake of Heavy Metals by Two Iranian Wheat Cultivars Inoculated With Piriformospora indica Fungus

Background and Purpose: Soil remediation in contaminated soils is an important factor of environmental research. This research evaluated the effect sepiolite, palygorskite, triple super phosphate (TSP) on decreasing heavy metals uptake by wheat cultivars inoculated with Piriformospora indica (P. indica). Materials Methods: Treatments included applying palygorskite (at rate 0% 5% (W/W), TSP (0% 0.5% W/W) Pb- Zn-polluted soil under cultivation 2 (Mihan Pishgam cultivars) that P. fungus. Plants were harvested after 90 days, Pb Zn concentrations plants measured using atomic absorption spectroscopy. Furthermore, catalase (CAT) enzyme activity was also measured. Results: With (W/W) sepiolite plant concentration significantly reduced 11.8%, while increased 13.9%. Plant considerably decreased following inoculation. However, showed different results. Our results lower Mihan than cultivar. In addition, increasing availability caused a significant increase CAT activity. contamination had negative impact root colonization.
